ITU is pleased to introduce two enhancements on Moodle, namely email subscription function on news and announcements and extended period of use on guest student account.

Email subscription function on news and announcements
Email subscription is by default turned on for news and announcements, every posts saved by teachers will be sent out to students' college email account.  Teachers who want to disable this function, you can change its setting "Force everyone to be subscribed?" to "Subscriptions not allowed".

Extended period of use on guest student account
Similar to previous arrangement, guest student account is arranged for every subject group so teachers can distribute the account to students who don't have access to your subjects in Moodle during this add-drop period.  To facilitate the testing of your courses with a student privilege, the account will be extended till the end of each semester.  The username and password will be distributed to teachers' email in the start of each semester.
