1. 25GB SkyDrive Cloud Storage in Student Email Account

USB flash drive is a common device to store project files and term paper, however, if you are relying on the USB device to store important files without a backup, you are at a risk for total lost when losing your USB flash drive or device failure. Apart from applying backup practice on the data in USB flash drive like steps in our issue 4 (November 2011) newsletter*, there is another approach that student can access 25GB SkyDrive Cloud Storage inside Student Email Account.

By logging in Student Email Account, students can click “More”-> “SkyDrive” (See below) to access the cloud storage. SkyDrive is a useful storage in student email account which student can upload / download personal files there.

There are many advantages of using Cloud Storage, namely,

  • Prevent data leakage due to loss of USB Flash Drive
  • Prevent data loss due to device failure
  • Prevent virus infection to USB flash drive
  • Enjoy security and data backup offering by solution provider

Student is welcome to approach ITU Helpdesk for questions regarding SkyDrive.
