1. Update your Secondary Email in New Password Manager System

Please be informed that current password manager system will be phased out on 6 Feb 2022, you are advised to provide a secondary email in the new password manager system for password recovery purpose from 7 Feb 2022 (Monday) onwards, details are as follows:

Reminder on secondary email

  • Use of lifelong email, e.g. @gmail/@outlook is recommended
  • Don’t use personal email running on server or system with weak security protection as secondary email
  • Please change secondary email immediately if any security incident, e.g., secondary email account is compromised

How to setup secondary email from 7 Feb onwards?
Here is a video guide (Staff / Student) on how to setup secondary email.

2. Staff PC Windows 10 Patch Upgrade (Staff Only)

There is a system patching exercise which upgrading staff Windows 10 PC from version 1909 to 20H2. Colleagues may receive notification from Windows during PC shutdown and reboot. Please accept the upgrade by selecting “Upgrade and reset” / “Upgrade and shutdown”).

3. IT Mega Sales

Users are drawn attention that CPCE IT Mega Sales for Semester 2 has started. Apple is the vendor this time. Last order day is 31 Mar (Thu). You may visit this vendor website for information,

4. Reminder: Note to Students Who Will Graduate or Leave From HKCC / SPEED

Please note that the following IT services will be terminated after you graduate or leave from HKCC / SPEED:


  • Student email account
  • Microsoft OneDrive bundled with student email account
  • Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus applications (Microsoft Office / Mac Office) offered via student email account
  • Print quota account
  • Student Notebook Loan Service
  • Campus Wi-Fi service, including Eduroam
  • Moodle
  • Campus PC / other systems login
  • Access to Student Computer Centre

Reminder:


  • Please backup data/files from the above systems if you need to keep them before graduation in order to prevent inconvenience and /or data loss.
  • Remaining balance in print quota account is non-refundable and non-transferrable at any time.
  • Should you have outstanding debit note for student notebook payment, you must settle it before graduation.
  • You may consider purchasing the Microsoft products at Microsoft Store if you wish to continue using them after leaving HKCC / SPEED.
  • You can only access Transcript request feature in my.HKCC / my.SPEED after graduation
  • You are also recommended to observe email announcement from PolyU Alumni Affairs and Development Office about the provision of lifelong PolyU alumni email account and OneDrive online storage.
