1. New Commercial Electronic Message (CEM) Managing Platform for Student [Student Only]

Referring ITU notice on 3 May, student is reminded a new platform for student to receive or not receive emails sending from HKCC, SPEED and other CPCE offices has been setup.


Access link to the platform is available in bottom of a CEM email (see below) and students can change their CEM preference inside the system.


2. PC Health Checking and Software Asset Management (SAM) Exercise [Staff Only]

A new round of PC health checking and SAM exercise will start from 1 June 2022. Same as our past practice, ITU will come to your office to perform regular check-up and conduct the SAM exercise on your PCs and units’ notebook computer:


  1. Upgrade anti-virus software protection before it expires. (Please refer to the Q&A section for details)
  2. Check hard disk capacity (C drive and D drive)
  3. Remove add-ons/toolbars installed on web browser accidentally
  4. Check IP and MAC addresses
  5. Renewal of ITU iPad loan service
  6. SAM Exercise

3. Apple Product Discount Offer

There is Apple product discount offer from an Apple Education Reseller, Senco Masslink. Interested student and staff can visit vendor web at U-MAC GRADUATION PROGRAM 2022 大專院校 MacBook 優惠計劃 (wix.com)

4. Reminder: Note to Students Who Will Graduate or Leave From HKCC / SPEED

Please note that the following IT services will be terminated after you graduate or leave from HKCC / SPEED:


  • Student email account
  • Microsoft OneDrive bundled with student email account
  • Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus applications (Microsoft Office / Mac Office) offered via student email account
  • Print quota account
  • Student Notebook Loan Service
  • Campus Wi-Fi service, including Eduroam
  • Moodle
  • Campus PC / other systems login
  • Access to Student Computer Centre

Reminder:


  • Please backup data/files from the above systems if you need to keep them before graduation in order to prevent inconvenience and /or data loss.
  • Remaining balance in print quota account is non-refundable and non-transferrable at any time.
  • Should you have outstanding debit note for student notebook payment, you must settle it before graduation.
  • You may consider purchasing the Microsoft products at Microsoft Store if you wish to continue using them after leaving HKCC / SPEED.
  • You can only access Transcript request feature in my.HKCC / my.SPEED after graduation
  • You are also recommended to observe email announcement from PolyU Alumni Affairs and Development Office about the provision of lifelong PolyU alumni email account and OneDrive online storage.
