1. Metal 3D Printing Service

It is pleased to announce the availability of metal 3D printing Service and support of 316L stainless steel.

When comparing to ABS / PLA based materials, 316L provides significant stronger material properties and allows more use cases in teaching and research. We make use of BASF Ultrafuse 316L metal polymer composite filament for metal 3D printing service and user is welcome to visit this link for material details : Ultrafuse 316L 3D Printer Metal Filament | BASF Forward AM (forward-am.com)

To facilitate debinding and sintering of metal 3D printing, ITU has made contact with PolyU Industrial Centre (IC) and we can send our part to IC for post processing, subject to a processing fee. For details of metal 3D printing service, please send email to 3d-print@cpce-polyu.edu.hk.
