1. Zoom minimum version policy
User is reminded Zoom will be enforcing minimum versions on August 3, 2024.
There are support article and status page for the table of products and corresponding minimum versions, as well as future enforcement dates. Users who are running an end-of-life version after Aug. 3 will be logged out of their Zoom Client (Desktop, Mobile, and VDI) or not be able to join meetings via the Zoom Client until they update.
To minimize inconvenience, user please update to the latest version of Zoom software by checking for updates within the Zoom client or by navigating to zoom.us/download.

2. Campus Access Only SharePoint Site (Staff Only)
Currently, all SharePoint sites can be globally accessed when Internet connection is available. In view of the different nature, functionalities, purposes, or target audience on using SharePoint, ITU has enhanced the security of SharePoint access. You may request ITU to restrict the access of your site within campus only. For more information, please visit our site About SharePoint.

3. Tips in MS teams
If you got the wrong transcript language setting for your recording video, you can edit from click the 3 dots in chat of video -> Open in Stream
Click the video setting icon -> click “Transcript and caption”
If you have used a setting and recorded before, just for example Chinese (Traditional, Hong Kong SAR), click the 3 dots and select “Delete” to remove the wrong one. You need to click “Delete” button again to confirm this process.
Then you click the “Generate” button and select spoken language such as English (United States) and click the “Generate” button to confirm this process.
The generation is taking more time than expected. The transcript and captions file will appear here when it's ready.

4. Reminder: Note to Students Who Will Graduate or Leave From HKCC / SPEED
Please note that the following IT services will be terminated after you graduate or leave from HKCC / SPEED:
- Student email account
- Microsoft OneDrive bundled with student email account
- Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus applications (Microsoft Office / Mac Office) offered via student email account
- Print quota account
- Student Notebook Loan Service
- Campus Wi-Fi service, including Eduroam
- Moodle
- Campus PC / other systems login
- Access to Student Computer Centre
Reminder:
- Please backup data/files from the above systems if you need to keep them before graduation in order to prevent inconvenience and /or data loss.
- Remaining balance in print quota account is non-refundable and non-transferrable at any time.
- Should you have outstanding debit note for student notebook payment, you must settle it before graduation.
- You may consider purchasing the Microsoft products at Microsoft Store if you wish to continue using them after leaving HKCC / SPEED.
- You can only access Transcript request feature in my.HKCC / my.SPEED after graduation
- You are also recommended to observe email announcement from PolyU Alumni Affairs and Development Office about the provision of lifelong PolyU alumni email account.
