1. Microsoft 365 Tips

1. Free Microsoft Office App License for Students and Staff
Microsoft 365 enables current students and staff to install the latest version of Microsoft Office app on your PC/Mac, tablet or smart phone for free. Each student and staff can install Office on up to 5 PCs/ Macs, 5 tablets (iPad, and Android) or smart phones.


Software available for installation include:

For the detail installation guide, please login CPCE Portal and refer to the ‘Office 365 OWA User Guide’


As the free license is only available to current students and staff, users are required to uninstall Microsoft Office when they are no longer a member of the CPCE College community.


2.Collaborate on a project between members in the group

  • Create documents and collaborate online (OneDrive for Business)
    • Co-authoring and versioning
    • Use Office Online to review and modify documents, PowerPoint by the members concurrently
  • Online meeting (Teams)
  • Create a plan, build a team, assign tasks, and update status—in a few easy steps. (Planner)
  • Share calendars and schedule meetings (Calendar)

Organize your course content

  • Organize your lesson plans and course content in your own digital notebook.
  • Keep everything in a OneNote, and use its powerful search to find what you're looking for, even text in pictures or handwriting.
  • Your notebooks are saved automatically and can be viewed from any devices, online or offline.

2. AI Tool for Your Learning – Microsoft Co-pilot

Microsoft Copilot is an AI-powered assistant that is available to student. Copilot provides a range of powerful capabilities to help students be more productive and creative in their studies. With Copilot, student can easily summarize information, brainstorm ideas, get step-by-step explanations for math problems, improve their writing, and even generate custom images using the advanced DALL-E 3 model.


Microsoft Copilot is accessible at https://copilot.microsoft.com. Student may login co-pilot using college email address for utilizing the tool.

3. Mega Sales

ITU is pleased to announce CPCE Mega Sales has started. There are 3 brands, including Lenovo, HP, Apple this round. Interested student and staff can visit IT Products Mega Sales page inside CPCE portal https://portal.cpce-polyu.edu.hk for offering details.

4. Campus License Software for Student and Staff

To assist students and staff access campus-license software, a software list and access method have been added to the CPCE Portal. You can find it by visiting (https://portal.cpce-polyu.edu.hk) -> Software inventory List -> Campus software




5. Storage Limit of Office365 Service of New Student

Microsoft implemented its new storage policy to all subscribed tenants in August 2024, new student (Student ID started with 24) who admitted in 2024/25 will be allocated a new quota, details are as follows.

There is no change of quota for student admitted on 23/24 academic year or before.

6. Support Resources for Blackboard (Staff Only)

No matter you have joined ITU training and look for revision materials, haven’t join training session due to time conflict, or just want to found some quick guides, you are invited to visit IT support page(https://it-support.cpce-polyu.edu.hk -> Blackboard Ultra ) which contains various video guides for quick steps, essential steps such as how-to upload your course materials to Blackboard Ultra, full training video, user guide in details. Colleagues may visit the site using your CPE staff account.

7. Result Announcement: Lucky Draw Winners of “Survey on IT Services”

ITU is pleased to announce the results of the “Survey on IT Services” conducted in April 2024 for staff and students. We received an overwhelming response with approximately 500 participants. The valuable feedback provided by users will serve as a foundation for continuous improvement of our services. As a token of our appreciation, all students who completed the survey were automatically entered into a lucky draw.
