1. M365 Copilot Resource [Staff Only]

It is pleased to announce a subpage on M365 copilot is created in IT support page (https://it-support.cpce-polyu.edu.hk) with the following

1. Registration link : for registration of M365 copilot license
2. Training resource : recording of M365 copilot training sessions
3. Online community : a MS teams link to online community with Microsoft staff for support and enquiries

Interested staff are welcome to visit the page for related resource in M365 Copilot

2.Security Enhancement on Global Protect VPN [Staff Only]

To enhance the performance and security of the Global Protect VPN service to PolyU service, there will be notification if updated version of Global Protect is available. User is reminded to update regularly to maintain proper operation of VPN software.

3. Reminder on Phishing Email

Referring recent phishing email cases with fake photo, there are following reminders to campus email user

• Do Not Respond or Pay: Ignore the sender and any demands.
• Avoid Clicking Links or Opening Attachments: These may contain malware.
• Stay Vigilant: Verify unexpected messages, especially threatening or demanding ones.
• Report Suspicious Emails: Forward them to ITU for further action.

4. Big Data Lab : LLM Taster (Staff Only)

To assist staff without GPU resource to experience LLM, Big Data Lab has setup the following LLM for staff access. Interested colleagues please email to Big Data Lab for requesting access.

5. Reminder: Note to Students Who Will Graduate or Leave From HKCC / SPEED

Please note that the following IT services will be terminated after you graduate or leave from HKCC / SPEED:

• Student email account
• Microsoft OneDrive bundled with student email account
• Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus applications (Microsoft Office / Mac Office) offered via student email account
• Print quota account
• Student Notebook Loan Service
• Campus Wi-Fi service, including Eduroam
• Blackboard
• Campus PC / other systems login
• Access to Student Computer Centre

Reminder:

• Please backup data/files from the above systems if you need to keep them before graduation in order to prevent inconvenience and/or data loss.
• Remaining balance in print quota account is non-refundable and non-transferrable at any time.
• Should you have outstanding debit note for student notebook payment, you must settle it before graduation.
• You may consider purchasing the Microsoft products at Microsoft Store if you wish to continue using them after leaving HKCC / SPEED.
• You can only access Transcript request feature in my.HKCC / my.SPEED after graduation.
• You are also recommended to observe email announcement from PolyU Alumni Affairs and Development Office about the provision of lifelong PolyU alumni email account.
