1. Secure your data in USB Flash Drive
It is a regular reminder about securing your data in USB flash drive, especially in project session which it contains important data like project and term paper. In order to prevent data lost due to USB flash drive failure or losing, student is strongly advised,
- Copy your files from USB thumb drive to other location, e.g., home PC, regularly for backup purpose
- Use USB thumb drive on PC only with updated Anti-Virus software installed
- Enable password protection software on USB thumb drive, if available

2. Access CPCE Portal via CPCE web
To facilitate student and staff to access CPCE Portal, as well as resource connected to CPCE Portal, like Moodle, my.HKCC / my.SPEED, a link to CPCE Portal is created in CPCE web site. Default page of web browser of PCs in SCC and express printing area, will be changed to CPCE web site gradually to follow this update. We hope this update benefit to user and provide an easy access to college IT resource.

3. Do not left logged-in PC unattended
Students are reminded not to leave logged-in PC unattended. With the implementation of Single-Sign-On (SSO), student can access various SSO enabled system with single login, for example, student can access Student Account Enquiry without addition log-in if Moodle is logged-in. In order to prevent others if accessing your important data, students are reminded to logoff PC immediately after use and do not leave logged-in PC unattended.
Student is advised to approach ITU immediately for any suspicious case of misuse of logged-in PC by others.
