1. Note to Students Who will Graduate or Leave from SPEED/HKCC

Please note that the following IT services will be terminated after you graduate or leave from SPEED/ HKCC:

  • Student Email account
  • Microsoft OneDrive bundled with student email account
  • Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus application (Microsoft Office 2013 / Mac Office 2011) offered via student email account
  • Print quota account
  • Student Notebook Loan Service
  • Campus Wi-Fi service, including Eduroam
  • Moodle
  • Campus PC / my.HKCC / my.SPEED / other systems login
  • Access to Student Computer Centre

Reminder:

  • Please backup data/files from the above systems if you need to keep them before graduation in order to prevent inconvenience and /or data loss.
  • Remaining balance in print quota account is non-refundable and non-transferrable at any time.
  • Should you have outstanding debit note for student notebook payment, you must settle it before graduation.
  • You may consider purchasing the Microsoft products at http://www.microsoftstore.com/ if you wish to continue using them after leaving SPEED/HKCC.

2. Update on Mobile Teaching (Staff Only)

Update on Lecturers' Sharing on Mobile Teaching

Two more sharing sessions are carried in December on mobile teaching and we would like to say thank you to lecturers' contribution of their use case and comments. We are summarizing the details and shall announce updates and improvement work shortly.

Tips: How to reset Apple TV if it freezes or cannot show Airplay code on screen?

Simply reset the Apple TV by switching off then on its power plug. You can find a small tag 'Apple TV' attached to the power plug for identification. Colleagues are welcome to contact ITU helpdesk at x0818 (HHB) / x0819 (WK) for assistance.

3. Implementation of CPCE Password Manager

In order to enhance current password policies, provide a simple, secure and self-service platform for the end users to manage his/her login password, CPCE had revamped current password reset workflow and will introduce a new platform which called 'CPCE Password Manager' in the beginning of 2015.



With the help of CPCE Password Manager, you can:


  1. Manage your Questions and Answers Profile
  2. Reset new password by answering a series of private questions
  3. Change your current password
  4. Unlock you user account
  5. Receive password expire notification 30 days before by email
