1. Summer Break and Term Break Energy Saving Measures

By adopting the PolyU's Campus Sustainability Policies and Guidelines, ITU would implement the following measures for environmental protection and energy saving purposes in summer break and term break in the campus in view of the low utilization of computing facilities:

Express Printing Area

Nearly 80% of PCs in Express Printing Area are turned off while students can use the rest of PCs to access to campus network and submit print job.



Student Computer Centre

For student computer centre, a dedicated zone is closed for energy saving purpose. Student may refer the following map for closed area.

2. Student Notebook Loan During Summer Time

To meet student demand on notebook loan service in summer term time, ITU is pleased to announce student notebook loan service is resumed in summer time this year. There is no change of service hour, i.e., 8:30am to 8:00pm. Student can access SCC counter for loaning notebook computer. Should student has any enquiry, please contact ITU helpdesk at 3746-0818 (HHB) or 3746-0819 (WK).

3. Print Quota Arrangement for New Academic Year

An annual 2,000 print quota will be allocated to new intakes and existing eligible students on campus a few days before the commencement of semester 1, 2015/16. This quota is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
