1. Provision of Anti-Virus Software for CPCE Staff

ITU is pleased to announce CPCE staff is eligible to apply for installation of anti-virus software (ESET NOD32). You can apply for the following software packages:

  • One Anti-virus software for your personal desktop or laptop computer (Windows/Mac) and
  • One Anti-virus software for your mobile device (Android only)

For details of eligibility, terms and conditions, please refer to "Work at Home use Rights" registration system under CPCE Portal (http://portal.cpce-polyu.edu.hk) .

How to Apply for Anti-virus Software Installation

  1. Go to http://portal.cpce-polyu.edu.hk , click [HHB] or [WK] under Microsoft/Other Software Packages Work at Home User Right Registration , follow the instruction on-screen to complete the registration, then ITU staff will make appointment with you for software installation;
  2. Bring your own computer / mobile device to ITU helpdesk counter.

2. Check Your Voicemail Message in IP Phone Regularly (Staff Only)

As storage of voicemail is limited, it is recommended user to check new voice messages and erase unwanted voice messages regularly from your IP Phone to prevent mailbox full.

How to delete voicemail in IP Phone: Press access to voicemail system -> press "1" - Access Voice Messaging > "7" - Delete All Messages > "1" - Confirm to delete all messages.

Please note deletion of your voice message received in the email will not delete its original copy in IP Phone system automatically.

3. Temporary Change of Password Expiry Date for CPCE AD Account (Student Only)

In view of the need to continue some services/systems required CPCE AD account to students after their graduation, with effect from 18 March 2016, the expiry date of password for student account has been temporarily changed from 395 days to 425 days until further notice. The password and its account policy will be reviewed yearly. If you have any question, please contact Server Administration Team at 3746 0567.

4. Improvement on Moodle Mail's Notification

In response to users' request to enhance Moodle Mail's notification function, ITU has enhanced the related function in late March 2016. Users can see the subject, message content and sender's name in the email notification while the sender's email address will not be shown for privacy reason. Users have to login Moodle first when they need to reply to the incoming message.
