1. Upgrade of CPCE Wi-Fi Network

ITU is pleased to announce that current CPCE Wi-Fi system has been upgraded to support 802.11ac standard, over 350 new Access Point(AP)s were installed on two campuses, speed and throughput of the Wi-Fi network and the number of concurrent connections to Wi-Fi system are improved in this upgrade exercise.

If you find your Wi-Fi device cannot connect to CPCE Wi-Fi networks (CPCE Student / CPCE Staff / eduroam), please try to 'Forget Wi-Fi' setting on your mobile device and reconnect CPCE Wi-Fi network again. You may need to restart your mobile device when the login window cannot show up after you 'forgot' and attempt to reconnect CPCE Wi-Fi network.

Please trust the certificate issued by GoDaddy when you are asked to do so during the setup of the Wi-Fi profile.

2. Dismantle of Notebook Charging Cabinet on WK Campus

After reviewing the utilization of notebook charging cabinet and heavy duty printers on West Kowloon(WK) Campus, one of the heavy-duty printers have been relocated from Student Computer Centre to 1/F, South Tower, WK campus and the notebook charging cabinet has been dismantled there. Please use power desk or power outlet on bar table for notebook charging purpose.

3. Reminder : Student iPad Loan Service (Students Only)

Apart from borrowing notebook computers, you can borrow iPad for learning, Wi-Fi printing and use it for your project presentation via AppleTV at teaching venues. Please note iPad loan service for students is available from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

4. Reminder : Printing/Photocopying Services for CPCE Staff on HHB & WK Campuses (Staff Only)

It is to remind CPCE staff can access printing/photocopying service in express printing areas, Student Computer Centres (SCC) and CPCE Libraries (CLIB). This service accepts print quota as payment for printing or photocopying.

Please come to SCC for registration and top-up your print quota by using Octopus card at iPrint Kiosk if you want to use the service.

How to Use the System?
Step 1: First-time Registration
Before using the system, staff are required to perform the first-time registration. Please bring along your staff ID card to SCC for registration.

Step 2: Check your print balance then submit your print job to Konica Minolta (KM) printer after login public PC (e.g. Express Printing Area, SCC and CLIB) on CPCE campuses.

Step 3: Collect your print job at one of the KM printers by simply holding your staff ID card over the card reader at the printer. Then select your submitted print job.
