3. Secure Your Data in USB Flash Drive

It is a regular reminder about securing your data in USB flash drive which it contains important data like project and term paper. In order to prevent data loss due to USB flash drive failure or losing, student is strongly advised,

  • Copy your files from USB thumb drive to other location, e.g. home PC, regularly for backup purpose
  • Use USB thumb drive on PC only with updated Anti-Virus software installed
  • Unable password protection software on USB thumb drive, if available

Another approach is to make use of online storage, e.g. if you have CPCE's student email account, you can make use of Microsoft OneDrive, which is bundled with your account and provide 1TB of storage. Students are welcome to approach ITU helpdesk for enquiry on this topic.
