1. Upgrade Your CPCE Mobile App

To create a better user experience in your mobile app, ITU recommend users to upgrade your mobile app to the latest version (iOS: v1.0.2/ Android: 1.0.0.11).


This update includes:

  • Optimize Layout to Support iPhoneX, iPhone XR, iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max
  • A new function "Messenger" is released. Messenger facilitates a group communication channel between staff-staff or teacher-students*
  • Other bug fixes

This App can be downloaded from the App Store for iPhones or iPads or from Google Play for Android devices, or click this link https://ssoportal.cpce-polyu.edu.hk/app/ to choose your right platform for installation.

2. Mobile Teaching Tips : Accessing Control Center in iOS 12 (For iPhone and iPad Users)

ITU received enquiries on how to access control center after upgrading to iOS 12. Unlike the previous iOS that user can simply swipe up from the bottom edge to access control center, iOS 12 requires users to swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen. You may refer to the following pages on using control center and the new features of iOS 12.

3. Reminder : Download Link of IT Lab Software (Students Only)

A list of software download link of IT lab software is available in the Software Inventory of CPCE Portal, students are welcome to visit the page and download necessary software for self-practice purpose.

4. Result Announcement: Lucky Draw Winners of "Survey on IT Services"

ITU has conducted "Survey on IT Services" for staff and students in early May 2018. We have received a favourable response of over 400 responses. Users' feedbacks provide us a solid ground to improve our services continuously. To show our gratitude, students who completed the survey entered the lucky draw automatically.


Result of Luck Draw
The lucky winner who has won the grand prize of iPad (32GB Wi-Fi) is Miss Cheung Chin Tung, Yoki from HKCC.

Dr. Jason Chan, JP, Head of Information Technology, presented the prize to the winner on 7 September 2018.
