2. Implementation of the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on Accessing the Salary and Taxation Statement (Staff only)
In order to strengthen the authentication mechanism when users are off-campus, PolyU Finance Office will implement a Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) on its Staff Personal Statements for CPCE users.
You may ignore this email if you access the Staff Personal Statement at CPCE campus only (e.g. Office PC).
With effect from 17 Jun 2019, CPCE users have to perform a one-time enrolment and registration for the MFA service if you will access the staff personal statements off-campus (e.g. at home).
What is MFA?
MFA provides an additional layer of authentication on top of the existing NetPassword with your mobile device. This ensures that even if your NetPassword is exposed, the attacker still cannot access your online accounts remotely. User can select the 'Enter a Passcode' or 'Send Me a Push' from/to the 'Duo Mobile' app respectively in order to complete the authentication.
How to enrol the MFA service and register your mobile device?
To use MFA service, you need a mobile device running one of the following operating systems:
Before enrolling the MFA service, you MUST verify the Personal Email address which registered under the PolyU PUsecure Identity Portal by clicking here.

Download the "Duo Mobile" app for your mobile device;
Go to PolyU ITS MFA Management Portal;
Login with your NetID and NetPassword;
Follow the on-screen instruction to begin enrollment.
Please click here to access the training and resources of the MFA service:
Please enrol the MFA service and register your mobile device now if you will access the Staff Personal Statements off-campus.
For any assistance or query about the MFA service, please contact ITU Help Desk at 3746 0818/0819. If are not using a smartphone, please contact ITU Help Desk for further assistance.
