1. Reminder: Note to Students Who Will Graduate or Leave From HKCC / SPEED

Please note that the following IT services will be terminated after you graduate or leave from HKCC / SPEED:

  • Student email account
  • Microsoft OneDrive bundled with student email account
  • Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus applications (Microsoft Office / Mac Office) offered via student email account
  • Print quota account
  • Student Notebook Loan Service
  • Campus Wi-Fi service, including Eduroam
  • Moodle
  • Campus PC / my.HKCC / my.SPEED / other systems login
  • Access to Student Computer Centre

Reminder:

  • Please backup data/files from the above systems if you need to keep them before graduation in order to prevent inconvenience and /or data loss.
  • Remaining balance in print quota account is non-refundable and non-transferrable at any time.
  • Should you have outstanding debit note for student notebook payment, you must settle it before graduation.
  • You may consider purchasing the Microsoft products at Microsoft Store if you wish to continue using them after leaving HKCC / SPEED.
  • You are also recommended to observe email announcement from PolyU Alumni Affairs and Development Office about the provision of lifelong PolyU alumni email account and Onedrive online storage.

2. Closure of Student Computer Centre Until 19 January 2020

Please note Student Computer Centre at HHB and WK Campus will be closed until 19 January 2020.

3. IT Mega Sales for Semester 2

ITU is working with vendor on IT Mega Sales for semester 2. Apple is vendor for this round. ITU will announce details, e.g., ordering method, in due course.

4. Software Arrangement on Semester 2 (Staff Only)

Following the closing of software request in Mid Dec 2019, ITU is now consolidating the information and following up the requests with teaching staff and vendors, teaching staff will be informed of the progress of their requested software later. Should there is any outstanding request, colleagues are recommended as follows,


Software for staff office : Please contact Mr. John Cheung and Mr. Sam Wong for quotation and following up


Software for IT Lab : Colleagues are recommended to make use Virtual lab like Microsoft Azure Lab Services (Charged service) ( https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/services/lab-services ). Please contact Mr. John Cheung for enquiry on this service.

5. IT Support to Additional Assignment and Mass Printing Service (Staff Only)

ITU is pleased to announce lecturers have completed printing the last additional assignment on 23 Dec 2019! We would like to thank you for your understanding and patience over the last few weeks, while it is a challenge for all of us, we are happy the exercise is completed smoothly.
