3. Tips of Microsoft Teams
1. Presenter View in Teams Presentation Sharing
The presenter, in control, can now see a presenter view during Teams Presentation Sharing in a meeting.
Once the presenter selects a PowerPoint file from the Teams Share Tray, Presenter View is opened automatically. The presenter can see the current slide,
the slide notes, and a thumbnail strip of all the slides in the deck for easy ad-hoc slide navigation.
This view is private to the presenter in control. If another presenter clicks “Take Control”, presenter view will be opened for the second presenter,
while the previous presenter will be switched to the audience view without any access to the slide notes and the thumbnail strip.

2. New Video only Meeting stage experience
In Microsoft Teams meetings where some attendees had videos on and some had videos off, users would see up to 9 attendees on screen in a “mixed grid”:
a mix of video-on and video-off participants. Audio-only participants (those who have their video turned off) would be shown as avatars
(see examples below; avatars can be either initials or a profile picture).
This occupied substantial space on the screen which could be used instead to show more video participants as available.

New experience:
With the new view optimized for video experience, the meeting prioritizes showing participants who have their video turned on.
This makes it possible for the user to simultaneously see up to 9 video participants in a meeting.
For meetings with more than 9 participants, we prioritize participants with video to be shown on the stage.
Participants with audio are clubbed and shown below the videos.

3.Use Teams App instead of Teams Web version
Use of App (Desktop, Mobile) version of MS Teams is always recommended over Web version of MS teams on the following benefit
- App version of MS teams provides better performance, speed, over web version
- You are better identified by meeting organizer, e.g., Class Lecturer, by sign-in your account
- You can make use of features of sign-in, e.g., showing of profile picture
You can download MS teams at this link Download Microsoft Teams Desktop and Mobile Apps | Microsoft Teams

4. Tips for Online Submission of Homework
1.Conversion of Apple Pages file to Word format
If you are Mac user and make use of Apple Pages for word processing instead of Microsoft Word,
you may need to change file format to MS Word format (.docx) or it will not be supported by Turnitin and may not be able to open by lecturer.
To convert an Apple Pages document to MS Word format, you may refer to the steps in this Apple Support page
Convert Pages documents to PDF, Microsoft Word, and more - Apple Support
2.Reminder on scanned submission (handwritten answers)
To prevent poor submission quality, there are following suggestions on scanned submission
- Perform scan in environment with enough sun / room light
- Colour / Grey level scanning is recommended over Black and White only scanning
- Make use of specialized scanning software like Microsoft lens to crop and correct scanned document
- Review scanned document BEFORE SUBMISSION. Re-scan if you found the scanned document is unclear.
