Storage Media Security Tips

Storage Media (CD/DVD-ROM, USB thumbdrives, USB hard drives)

Avoid use external storage media and files from an unknown source or origin unless these storage media and files have been scanned and cleaned for computer virus and malicious code. Password protection, data protection or encryption program e.g Truecrypt should be use to protect the sensitive data.

Use USB thumbdrive with the read-only function to avoid the virus and malicious code infect the drive.
